Ryan Tilby

Mutli-Instrumentalist, Audio Engineer, Producer

Ryan Tilby is a multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer known for his broad palette of sounds and styles. With a B.M. from Berklee School of Music and a M.M. in Music Technology from Southern Utah University, he is currently living in Fort Wayne, Indiana, teaching at Purdue University.

Tilby is a Utah state champion on banjo, guitar and mandolin as well as a winner of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition. He has performed in forty-nine states and ten countries, and his music has been featured on numerous network shows including Duck Dynasty and Mike Rowe’s “How Booze Built America”, where Ryan composed and recorded the theme song. Most recently, his projects include a fifth solo album called Hymns of the New World,  live touring, and teaching at Purdue University Fort Wayne.  

Ryan is also an in-demand studio musician for clients around the world through Remote Sessions.

Ryan's arsenal of instruments include Banjo, Mandolin, Dobro, Lap Steel, Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Upright Bass, Electric Bass, and Bouzouki. With years under his belt as a professional touring musician signed to Capitol Records, Ryan has played venues around the world and recorded on hundreds of projects.
